Excerpts from the Constitutions of 1969 and 1983

1969:  "It is the purpose and the responsibility of the Order to come to the aid of persons whose faith is in jeopardy or who are prevented from practicing their faith because of unfavorable social conditions."

1983:  "...to promote apostolic initiatives increasingly in line with the original charism.

·         Avoid the dispersion of more or less generic works, giving priority to activities more focused on the Trinitarian charism..

·         In this sense, the entire Order is asked to pay more attention and special help to those who are persecuted because of their faith or because of their evangelical commitment in favor of the oppressed.. It is requested that the redemptive activities, already underway in  developing countries, such as the Vicariates of Latin America and Madagascar continue to be promoted.
